Engineering Awards

The Northampton Engineering Training Partnership (NETP) awards prizes to the top students within each placement year group.
The Alan Casey Award
Best placement student

The Alan Casey Award is presented to the student who performed most successfully during their company placements.

Alan Casey was the Industry Liaison Manager for the NETP for many years. During this time he supported many students through the scheme and developed strong relationships with the local employers. Unfortunately he recently passed away in 2009. To mark Alan's work the partner companies decided to create an award in his name. The partner companies sponsor this award.

Academic Award
Highest academic achievement

This is awarded to the placement student who attained the highest academic achievement during their placement year. The University sponsors this award. Each winner also receives a financial payment in recognition of their achievement. The awards are presented during the annual NETP Awards Event, which takes place in September.
